Ahmose, the long suffering Supervisor of Embalmers, is sent to Asyut with instructions to investigate the death of Egypt's richest commoner, who just happens to be the provincial governor's father-in-law. If he thought his previous cases were confusing, he's in for an unpleasant surprise.<br> <br> While Ahmose is away, his wife Nenufer becomes embroiled in a minor scam that escalates into all out civil war!<br> <br> The old gang are all present together with a host of new characters whose sole purpose in life is apparently to drive Ahmose to drink.
