Venice has just graduated from high school. She questions her own purpose as her mother becomes ultra-busy with work, her brother moves away from home, and her best friend continues on to university. Events from Venice's past stifle her brewing wish to become a world-famous photographer. Across town, a girl named Raizel has just emerged from yet another failed summer relationship. Family secrets allow Raizel to fall under her parents' radar. Finding herself in the constant presence of drugs, Raizel wants nothing more than to skip town, attend hair school, and fall in love.
