For Hugh MacLean Bower, the change was an intimate and difficult decision that upended his apparently comfortable and successful world – though deep down inside he had been squirming. He grew up in New York City, enjoyed the comforts of the corporate world, then found a fresh direction as a cattle rancher in Texas.
