7 THINGS THAT GOD HATES

The seven things God hates are a catalog of sins or abominations summarized in Proverbs 6:16-19. Although not constituting an exhaustive list, they are the picture of the sins that greatly gnaw at human societies. The expression “seven things” contains the idea of a set or whole that covers the behaviors of an evil heart that attack the character of God and break the harmony in the community. Where they manifest, they attack the will of God. They work as a whole and complement each other like the gears of a chain in the same body. When man rebels against God by following the dictates of the devil, he uses the parts of the body for malevolent purposes: the eyes, the tongue, the hands, the heart, the feet, the mouth, the lips to do the will of the devil.
