Dash! and his Novice ham radio friends take to the airwaves for his second book about electromagnetically coming of age in the Soaring Sixties. Here are the agonies of choosing his first QSL card...the ecstasies of high school radio club...his defeat by a Gotham vertical... his standoff with the radio Dogs of War and forces beyond control. No one who played amateur radio through the Space Race and Cold War can read Sky Buddies without feeling some sense of relief that this will never happen to them again. Also serves as a grim cautionary tale for younger hams sure to discourage time travel back to the good old days but won't likely wipe that smirk off the face of any ham who finds radio funny.
