After the Arch-Demon had been freed, its return to reclaim what had been lost in our world would set Jacob, Mac and allies in the Realm on an inevitable collision course with the military and an unmasking of reality none could have fathomed. Along the way they would discover a mighty remnant of Giants scattered in Telluric Hollows and gifted with the Aethereal Kinesis-Forge, an ancient device carved by the hand of the Tart'aas and refashioned to use Earth's power against the Arch-Demon's foe...the Serpqhtaq. Only after the military struck a bargain with the rogue artificial intelligence known as Janus would they also discover it had been created in league with the Serpqhtaq and that it possessed a single weakness. The Iapetus Mesh. But, as if by the hand of fate, they would have to ally with the AI to face both alien races - each exploiting humanity for their own ends. Humanity would be consumed by fire.
