Beneath the serene landscape of the Swiss countryside, the world’s largest supercollider is about to go online with the potential to alter our understanding of the universe at both the macular and molecular level. After his girlfriend is murdered - apparently as a result of her research into a unifying equation that brings together the four principle forces of physics - Ken is convinced that the people behind her murder are the same ones preparing a series of history-making experiments using the Hadron supercollider near Geneva. But can he prove it? Enlisting the support of other scientists, Ken struggles to understand the enormous responsibility that such an equation demands, while simultaneously coming to terms with his own faith … a faith that is being tested by his growing understanding of something called strings and the Unification Theory.
