Late Autumn, Early Winter

A mid-life crisis is usually assuaged by buying a Harley, a Porsche or taking a 20 year old mistress. Not this boy. He packs everything away in storage to follow his dream of living and working in Japan. Except he's not quite ready for it, and only gradually does he discover this. Meanwhile, English tedium is swapped for the Japanese version. At least, in parts, it looks prettier! Located between Osaka and Kyoto, Takatsuki protects him from the 'international community' and he spends three months wondering if he's done the right thing and if all this is taking him in the right direction in his life.
