Sexuality in art is inherent in the social, cultural and political changes that have characterized different historical periods. From the erotic frescoes of ancient Pompeii to contemporary art, the concepts of sensuality, eroticism and desire have been interpreted by a vast array of artists through multiple styles and creative forms. Artistic collage, which gained fame in 1912 thanks to the painters Braque and Picasso, is a technique based on the juxtaposition of different images from various sources, glued onto a single surface to create a new artistic composition. Our work is rooted in this style, fusing and recomposing details of images from the history of art with digital tools, proposing a new contemporary vision of classical art.
