Vector Borne Disease: Environmental Risk Factors and Sustainable Control Programs

This literature review seeks to identify the "root causes" of several diseases that are transmitted among humans by insects and other animals, known as vectors. With an understanding of the causes underlying the occurrence of vector-borne diseases, effective approaches to their control and management are identified. The approaches suggested by this investigation attack many of the factors common to these diseases; but in order to achieve sustained positive results, a vector-borne disease management program must acknowledge and overcome a number of obstacles.
