Casting Shadows

Life takes an unexpected turn for fun-loving, college student, Amanda, when her parents and sister die in a tragic auto accident. Through her grief she embarks on an international adventure. Once in Colombia, Amanda’s team is abducted by rebels. Her escape is aided by a mysterious young soldier, named Angelo, with a chameleon-like presence. They find that they are not enemies, but friends instead. While conflict rages around them and though their lives are constantly jeopardized, Angelo leads Amanda and her surviving team members to safety. There they must part ways. And for the sake of Angelo’s safety, his existence must never be acknowledged by any of them ever again--even Amanda. Amanda’s team is able to get through media attention and keep their promise to Angelo, but Amanda is unable to forget him. Seemingly, she resumes life as normal upon returning to the U.S., though forever changed and forever hopeful that someday she will meet her rescuer again under other circumstances.
