Slacker. Nobody. Hero? Dan Hawke is an average student in Pearl City High in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. No one really expects much from him, not even his own frustrated father. After a brutal attack from bullies at school, however, a chain of events causes him to question the world he lives in, including surreal and vivid visions of the distant past. When he enters the top-secret world of PRAD (Paranormal Research and Defense), he soon discovers the existence of a dangerous secret society bent on world domination, desperately searching for the tools to achieve their agenda. That is when he also discovers an opportunity to do something about it. But can someone like Dan, with his slacker background, do just that? Is Dan ready to become the world's first real-life superhero?
