I was born in South Africa, where my love for the African bush, its wildlife, and its people began at an early age during family visits to the Kruger National Park. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for adventure, exploration, and the natural world. After completing my schooling at Eden College in Johannesburg, I served for two years in the South African Army Intelligence Unit during the Angolan Bush War. It was during this time that my interest in Africa, its people, and its many cultures began to deepen. Over the next twenty-five years, I travelled extensively throughout Southern Africa as a missionary, bush pilot, safari guide, educator, entrepreneur, and adventurer. Much of my life was spent serving remote communities, flying humanitarian and missionary outreach missions, and learning from people whose lives and experiences were often very different from my own. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and have studied business management and logotherapy. I am also an experienced herpetologist and aquaculturist with a lifelong interest in people, cultures, and the natural world. Today I write about life as I have seen it, heard it, and experienced it. My work ranges from adventure stories and reflections on faith to musings, poetry, and observations on the human journey. Whether writing about the African bush, everyday life, or the deeper questions we all face, my hope is that readers will find something that speaks to their own journey.
