What would happen if we could create automated medical centers capable of perfectly controlling our DNA and of creating perfect beings with an enzymatic equilibrium making them virtually immortal? What would be the limits of life as we know it – based on carbon and oxygen – if the control of these components had become absolute, allowing eugenics en masse? The short novel And Mankind Created Mankind aims to explore the consequences of a life science technology that escapes the control of humanity and to speculate on the reactions of society in the advent of a perfect biological life, mainly at the philosophical and metaphysical level.
