Sliding Community

Like most of the cities in the United States, Paterson suffers a national problem which is the lack of access to natural food and easy access to fast food and processed foods. Since this is part of the habitant’s habitual lifestyle and a lack of education exists, people do not give sufficient importance to this matter. The Paterson Natural Food Market will make an effort to give the Paterson Community a place to buy local naturally produced products, educate people and unify them. The Sliding Community Natural Food Market will provide local foods and community display space. The community display will be revealed as seasonal foods become dormant until their next season. Display walls with alternating brick courses will employ the operation of sliding to create layering, mixing and unmixing display according to food types.
