Early in their careers – and early in the Golden Age Of Comics – two talented creators met, formed a friendship, and a two decades long partnership. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, both together and separately, created some of the most iconic and long-lasting characters in comics, including The Human Torch and Captain America. They were never constrained by genre, being prolific with superheroes, romance, westerns, supernatural, and – naturally, crime. As the months passed from the 40s to 50s their crime production decreased in favor of romance, but what they did, they did like none other!
