A Night-Highway Terror

Finally, the full moon emerged through a space in the mass of unusually black clouds… it crept out into a pool of coal-black sky, and shone it’s silvery light on the ocean waves far off to one side; rippling the wave crests with fine whitish sparkling, faint and ethereal. The effect was dreamlike, and dark… like the sense of foreboding you have when you are dreaming, and then realize you are dreaming, and then you can sense somehow, somewhere out there, something large and terrifying is waiting for you, looking for you, and coming for you.
