A new setting of the Latin text of the canticles for vespers, compline, or evensong.
The Magnificat (c.6½ mins), divided into six flowing movements, is set for SATB chorus and SATB solo voices, with optional keyboard (harpsichord, organ, piano) accompaniment.
The Nunc Dimittis (c.3 mins), with a more contemplative character and joyous final "Gloria", is set for unaccompanied ATB chorus.
