My party was a real surprise. Everything was in such secrecy that I had no idea what was happening. It was perfect! In preparation for the party, invitations were mailed and requests were sent to friends and relatives to write letters relating a memory or funny story about me to include in a memory book that was being created. The memory book, including many pictures, was created and is truly a work of art. A large banner telling my age hung at the pavilion where the party was to be held. The caterer did an outstanding job with the food and the birthday cake with my picture was beautiful. But most of all, the friends and family members that came to the party made my 'special day'. My friends and family mean so much to me that I can't really express my feeling of love and thanks to you. In this book, I have tried to capture my "special day" and have added glimpses of other events that have also been part of my long life.
