Simon and the Tree

This is a picture book aimed at children between 6-9 years old. Simon is a natural born climber with a particular passion for climbing trees. One day, against his parents' wishes, he sets out to climb to the top of the biggest tree in his neighbourhood. But things don't exactly go according to plan. Simon and the Tree is a cautionary tale, and is beautifully illustrated by the author. The double page spread illustrations lend the book an almost cinematic quality.
