Dear readers, Welcome to my presentation. Let me start with a few words about myself: I live in the small wonderland, Denmark - in fact, no more than 45 minutes’ drive from HC Andersen's house! As a child, I enjoyed the times when my grandmother told me HC Andersen's fairy tales. How sad I felt about “The Little Match Girl!” How thorough knowledge did I get about people in "The Emperor's new clothes”! HC Andersen was an unusual genius in his field. I live on the island of Funen at the west coast, in a town with the special name Middelfart, where HC Andersen also resided when he visited Hindsgavl Castle, in the most beautiful scenery by the water. There is a strong, steel gray truss bridge connecting Funen and Jutland, and old wooden boats with colorful sails glide quietly away in the flowing water: a sight characteristic of the Little Belt - the waters between Funen and Jutland.
