About the Author Rev. Roosevelt Leon Walker, Jr. married Janie Mae Ward in 1958. Their marriage produced three children. Sandra Denise Walker was born December 19, 1960 in Alabama and is only daughter. Randall Leon Walker was born March 6, 1962 in South Carolina and is the oldest son. I was born on July 9, 1964 in rural Perry County, Alabama. I am the last of the three children from this marriage. My father’s mother named me Reginald Levi Walker because she believed that God had placed a special calling on my life.
