Paula was born in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, and transplanted to the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. She was raised on a steady diet of Kenneth Grahame and C.S. Lewis and later went on to devour the entire fiction section of her middle school library, where she developed the taste for all things good. She now lives with her husband, two daughters, and geriatric dog. To help combat the effects of the Wisconsin winters Paula recommends coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. And then some more coffee. This is Paula's first book, she really hopes you like it as much as she loved creating it. With a masters degree in education and years of experience in managing her husband's business, writing a series of young adult novels involving half crazy, blood lusting immortals, seemed like a logical next step. She also makes some of the best cupcakes around.
