THE AUTHOR I’ve thought about writing this book for years but have always held back because of the stigma associated with rape.  If I’m being honest, I don’t know what compelled me to write this book now, but I’m just happy I finally had the courage to do so.  I know I’m not the only one who has been violated by family members – sadly, there are far too many with stories like mine to share, but I do know that healing is possible because I am walking proof that trusting and having faith that living the life God intended for me is not only possible, but very viable.  Though I will never forget the horrors forced upon me, I have been able to fortify my mental state so that I could walk out of the darkness and into the light.  Today I am a successful and proud business owner and entrepreneur and survivor!  I have prevailed over those who tried to bring me down; believe me when I tell you that you can too.
