Gerald Carmody is a seventy-something great grandfather who lives with his wife Lynette in a South Australian country town. Gerald suffered nine years of education in a small Catholic school. At the age of fourteen he left school and spent most of his working life in Federal, State, and Local Government. For eight years, he and his wife ran a small business associated with tourism. In latter years until his retirement, Gerald had a number of part time and casual jobs, mostly relating to the sporting industry.
