John Guinn started his travel agency, Holiday Hut Ltd in August 2004. He was one of the early adopters of websites such as TripAdvisor in providing recommendations to his clients. At the time websites such as these were ignored or treated with distain by most travel companies. John has since built up a reputation as offering a travel information service outside of that usually expected from traditional travel agents. John Guinn has been a guest on internet radio shows as a travel expert, and has his own monthly travel show on Secklow Sounds. He is also available for speaking at corporate events, speaking on topics such as how delegates could make the most of their time at the conference by researching the local area and how to reduce the costs of overseas business trips.
