A Lutheran pastor with a unique insight into the American and German religious scene, Rev. Christian C. Tiews, has been serving at Grace Lutheran Tulsa (LCMS), OK, as Associate Pastor since 2009. Rev. Tiews was born in Munich, Germany, and has spent half of his life in Germany and half in the U.S. He has been a professional translator for German and English for over thirty years. Among other works, he has translated CPH's recent release of "Law and Gospel--How to Read and Apply the Bible" (2010) by C.F.W. Walther, as well as a number of original Luther sermons, which will soon be published in an upcoming volume of "Luther's Works." He holds a M.S. degree from the University of Kiel, Germany, and an M.Div. degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. Rev. Tiews is a regular speaker at Higher Things events and has been featured on the Issues, Etc. and Higher Things Radio programs. He is married to German-born and raised Lula Tiews. They live in Tulsa, OK, and have six children.
