Bob Gebhardt has been an avid recreational boater, sailor and certified divemaster for many years. He started boating on the Mississippi River and sailed on the Alton Pool and other Midwest lakes and has settled in Southwest Florida. He served in the United States Navy as an engineer aboard a destroyer, and has seen more of the Pacific and China Sea than he ever wanted. In returning to the sea he now enjoys the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, only in slightly smaller boats. Bob is a retired professional police officer having specialized in forensic criminal investigation and management auditing. His college majors were in science and law enforcement administration. He had two articles published in the Federal Bureau of Investigation magazine titled Video Tape in Criminal Cases (1975) and Internal Auditing, a Management Tool (1981). He also has written emergency hurricane procedures for a national hotel chain and many policy and procedures for a charitable organization.
