I have been raising orphan kittens for 24 years. So far I have raised 511, and have "godmothered" hundreds more. Working with these babies is enormously satisfying, incredibly frustrating, and can break your heart. Keeping them alive and thriving is no easy task, and creates great respect for mother cats! This award winning book is written in an easy, breezy question and answer style so that you can sit down and read it through or use it as a handy reference when you have a specific question or problem. It contains all the practical, specific knowledge I could think of and wished I had available years ago when I started. I have now written two more books. "From Hindsight to Insight; A Traditional to Metaphysical Memoir" contains chapters on my history of animal rescue, as well as many other subjects. "Faces of Rescue; Cats, Kittens and Great Danes" contains stories of rescued animals, as well as dozens of full color pictures.
