Charles Frode is a Language Arts/Creative Writing teacher and a Trappist monk before that. He married an Aztec princess; together they cook and enjoy the lively music/dance scene in Boise, Idaho. Frode plays guitar and ukulele in a local musical group. “The Foliate Oak Literary Magazine” published two of Frode’s short stories in their online May 2011 issue, and two of his stories placed in the top hundred in “Writer’s Digest” 2011 competition. He recently published his first collection of short stories, A Dream of India & Other Mystic Stories of Radiance and Darkness, and he has completed his second book of short stories, One Times One & Other Numinous Stories of Redemption and Loss, and his memoir, Downsizing to Atman, The Meaning Quest of a Loner, Monk, Master Teacher, and Religious Iconoclast.
