I spent thirty years as an illustrator and animator before taking up writing professionally. I’ve written thousands of articles for nice people and scads of marketing copy for software companies – who incidentally are nice, too. My first book, Road Trip with Rabbit and Squash, was inspired by multiple trips I've taken from the Midwest to the West coast. The illustrations were created by digitally coloring the same piece of brown craft paper, and you can see the texture in every one.
