When I was a young child, one of my best friends was killed in a car accident. I told myself then and there, while attending her funeral, that life can be gone all too soon and I need to grab it with both hands and hang on for the ride. Until the age of 43, I did just that. In 2002, I was diagnosed with a life changing condition that has limited me physically, but (most days!) my mind works reasonably well. Many of us dream of writing a book, so I decided maybe this was my chance. I was spending a lot of time in my recliner anyway. I had a laptop, I was out of excuses; I had to write.
