Royd Moore is the author of the Kent After Dark series, a growing collection of historical, gothic and reflective works rooted in Kentish places, records, folklore, memory and local shadow. Kent After Dark began with ghosts, roads, churches, coastal legends and forgotten corners of the county, but has grown into a deeper exploration of how ordinary lives pass through history: into war memorials, court records, ledgers, archives, family stories and places that continue to remember. His writing often follows people under pressure — villagers, workers, travellers, witnesses, defendants, clerks, families and those left at the edge of the record.
