Lloyd McKenna is a Montanan who was born in Miles City and raised on a ranch near Jordan. He has been writing and reciting cowboy poetry for thirty years. His work has been published in numerous papers and magazines, recited on the radio, and even featured on the BBC in England. Lloyd won the Scott Redington Memorial Award in 2003 from the Sagebrush Cowboyography Association in Sheridan, Wyoming. He has hosted the opening show for the Montana Cowboy Poetry and Western Music Gathering for over 20 years. This is Lloyd’s fourth book of cowboy poetry, and he has also recorded a CD. Lloyd and his wife, Meryl, live near Lewistown, MT, where he loves to fish and camp. They have two grown daughters.
