I was born in Rumford, Maine on the 16th of July, 1948 .My family lived beside the beautiful Androscoggin River in the Ridlonville section of Mexico. I was blessed with two wonderful sisters, one older and one younger and also one younger brother. My Dad worked at what was originally Oxford Paper Company across the river from Mexico. My mom grew up in Braintree Massachusetts, . I attended Abbott elementary school located on Granite Street in Mexico before entering the newly constructed seventh and eighth grade building located on the northern end of the old Mexico High School. I enjoyed my time in school and made a lot of life long friends but I was also a rather shy person which kept me away from most extracurricular school activities. Science was my favorite subject in school. Science or my extreme interest in the subject tended to get me in trouble with my parents because of my unbridled curiosity.
