Hi! I am Lawrence and this is my first venture into writing children’s stories. I live in Buckinghamshire in the UK, with my wife Caroline, daughter Emily, son Cameron, our little dog Maverick and cat Spartacus. My first book has been 25 years in the making. I now have enough material for a complete series featuring my characters Pickle and Poppet, with just a little bit of me thrown in for good measure. I took inspiration from my grandmother who would spend hours making up little stories for myself and my younger brother Stephen. I miss her terribly. I enjoy playing Walking football, to a fairly decent standard and writing poetry amongst other things. At home I enjoy spending time with my family and I enjoy my walks and holidays with my wife. It is where I find the greatest inspiration and ideas for my stories. This first book is dedicated to my family who have been my test audience and whose love and support has been amazing. I hope you too enjoy my stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.
