Michael D. Jackson works in the theatre industry as agent, director and playwright. He has written theatre criticism for Off Off Broadway Review and New York Stages: A Journal of New Millennium Theatre (AuthorHouse). He has seen several of his plays brought to the stage in New York and California: My Magic Kingdom, Coffeehouse, Dirty Trick, Astor and Irving, Three Women, Old Soul, Revolution and A Taste of Heaven, which received the “Excellence in Playwriting” honor at the NYC Fringe Theatre Festival. A collection of his plays can be found in Making Progress: America’s Queer History in 12 Plays. Three Women is included in Best Plays of the Strawberry One Act Festival, Vol. III. He as created adaptations of Broadway musicals for Music Theatre International’s theatre education programs and has written articles for Outward News Magazine and Circus World.
