Born in San Francisco, California, Saree Eliska Mading, is number six of seven children. She is a mother of three and a grandmother of two. She is a former middle school teacher in her hometown of East Palo Alto, California where she was raised with lots of love and given a solid foundation in faith. Saree first began journaling in high school, after being given an English writing assignment that required her to track her thoughts for a week. She enjoyed it so much that since then, she has documented much of her life’s story through writing in journals. She currently lives in Juba, South Sudan and continues to write about her thoughts, feelings, and experiences frequently.
