From there, she began writing short stories, her first was one about how monsters overrun a school. Her first extended work was titled, "How I survived high school," a sassy, sarcastic look at the perils of being young. Around this time she also started the "Star Light, Star Bright" series of two novels. These works follow the space opera adventure of a young girl who learns she is more than she could ever imagine. But with this knowledge comes a responsibility she may not be ready for. Disarm was started in college under the original name, "The Bridge." Erica prefers writing fiction stories.
