I was born the son of a Coal Hewer ( Collier), in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England. I was educated to City and Guilds standard, having attained GCE's in English, Art, Technical Drawing, Maths and Physics with Chemistry. I have made my living all my life, hands-on and using my head. Preferring the practical to the academic way of life. I have always loved poetry and art, and indeed opened an Art gallery in York some years ago. I now earn my living writing poetry and short stories, with a novel on the way. I have tried to keep my poetry light and humorous, with a tinge of intrigue and perhaps terror in a couple of cases. My short stories are on the whole based on true facts. My forthcoming novel, I believe is both. I hope which ever you read, you will enjoy. If you do, I thank you, with all of my heart.
