V. H. King is a BlackDisabledQueer author and artist who has always experienced the world in story and color. Their works embody a lineage of what King likes to call 'displaced ancestry': paying homage to all the ways Black narratives survive. Embodied in ordinary people, oral history, and obscure places, King draws inspiration from imagining and honoring Black livelihood in its infinite iterations. Specializing in creative stubbornness, King prefers writing across genres and composing artworks with a sense of magic and mythos.
