Dr. Walid Elsayed, MD, PhD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive experience in coronary artery bypass grafting and advanced endoscopic conduit harvesting techniques. He is currently practicing at King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC), Makkah, Saudi Arabia, a major tertiary cardiac center serving both the local population and international patients during the Hajj season. Dr. Elsayed holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Cardiothoracic Surgery from Menoufia University, Egypt, and has been actively involved in developing and refining minimally invasive harvesting techniques, particularly endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and endoscopic radial artery harvesting (ERAH). With hands-on experience in more than 5000 endoscopic harvesting procedures, he has contributed to building one of the leading EVH programs in the region. His work focuses on surgical precision, operative efficiency, and structured training for surgeons and harvesting specialists. Dr. Elsayed is the author of “Precision in Practice: Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting for CABG” and is dedicated to simplifying complex surgical techniques into practical, step-by-step approaches that can be applied in daily clinical practice. His mission is to enhance surgical outcomes, standardize training, and support the global adoption of minimally invasive conduit harvesting techniques.
