Modeling was a lifelong dream but due to battles with low self-esteem and depression, it took years before I decided to leap into it. My time was also occupied with other things such as being a devoted wife to John X. Polk, loving mother, and corporate professional. In 2020, life as I knew it changed. It wasn’t the ideal set of circumstances, but it freed me up to pursue modeling. After doing a runway show at Dream City Orlando, things took off quickly. PX Photography built my portfolio which opened the door to getting published in magazines, brand ambassador roles, and other modeling opportunities such as New York Fashion Week, & walking for national store bands such as Rainbow & Belk. Since then, I’ve expanded by becoming a Model Coordinator for Bella Faire Event Production and a Model Coach. All of this happened in a year which culminated with winning the 2021 Best Standard Model for the Fashion Gala Awards and 2023 Best Standard Model Award. My plan is to keep growing as a model while inspiring others along the way. As an author I've published three writings. The first few are stage plays and the latter is The Freelance Model Guide. It is an informative workbook for aspiring models. It can also be used as a companion textbook to the 4 hours virtual class which is also for aspiring models.
