Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Jim Traister returns from the Iraq War a wounded soldier with a broken spirit. Despite his efforts at getting his life back on track in America, he ends up a homeless drunk on the streets. As the story begins, he is down to believing in nothing, simply wanting to find a painless exit from life. Unbeknownst to him, he has two invisible companions. One is dedicated to his recovery through love and understanding, while the other is intent upon Jim's complete destruction. Other characters, Rosa, a pre-school teacher, Bobby, a cop and war veteran, Charlie, a building contractor, and a little calico kitten all play pivotal roles in the battle for Jim's sanity and recovery. Ultimately, Goddy is a novel about what can happen to a soldier after the firefights and the TV news are over. It is the story of the war INSIDE the warrior that rages long after actual combat is done. Goddy is set in contemporary Los Angeles, California.
