The story follows a boy who once had an enchanting childhood in a village full of life and song. Returning years later as a man, he is struck by an eerie silence. The village is no longer alive with the melodies of its people, and the golden willow—the heart of the village—appears to be dead. Yet, no one seems to notice. The woman who knows almost everything is irritated by his presence, and the Priestess refuses to speak. He longs for the boy he used to be—the boy who could always find the missing things, who sang with a full heart at any time of day, and who saw the world through eyes full of wonder. Lost in the memories of his past, he leans against the tree and falls into a deep sleep. And with that, the fairy-tale begins once again, beneath the shadow of nature’s last golden willow.
