<b>Trade Paperback</b> - 83 pages<br> <br> <b>ARTIST STATEMENT</b><br> <br> I am especially interested in examining the dynamic interplay of light and color in the world around me. In my cityscapes I am fascinated by the way buildings are stacked, the residential bordering the industrial, the rotating colors of houses and apartments that line steep blocks, or the cool nights broken by warm city lights; all these elements suggest the originality of a given city. Such images become personally interesting when the light strikes, separating them into dramatic and intriguing patterns and shapes and revealing a distinct rhythm to their order.<br> <br> Painting offers the opportunity for inquiry and imagination, for both painter and viewer. When others look at my paintings I want them to see my world as the world they live in, and perhaps something of themselves, but in new and refreshing ways.
