Understanding Flex 4 Component Development
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Flex 4 is here, and it introduces a whole new way to create Flex applications. There are significant changes within this release—changes that will affect how we work day to day. For the most part, these changes are huge improvements in the way we integrate design and create our UIs, but Flex 4 also introduces new challenges and hurdles that we must first learn about and then overcome while creating applications.
In this book we break down the core changes and additions within Flex 4. We assume that you have had a fair amount of experience with Flex 3, but we will explain as much as we can. If you have just started using Flex, this book will provide you with some insight into the underlying functionality of the program, but many areas still may not be clear until you have more experience with the Flex 4 SDK. We hope that you find this book to be helpful and that it makes developing in Flex 4 as exciting for you as it is for us.
