My Point of View

A young adult, coming of age story about immigration, high school life, and the trials of life as a teenager. Specifically a teenage migrant trying to figure out her identity,friendships, future and family. This book showcases the challenges she faces and how these affect the major aspects of her life. From her family dynamics to core friendships, Nyara writes in her diary to her future self with chapters alternating between third-person, first-person, and second-person perspectives. The story looks between the past and present, to try and make sense of her life and see how far she has come. it is a complex story of true self value, identity and love.
