The Borgias are the most infamous family of Italian Renaissance , and their history normally hinges around three key individuals: Rodrigo Borgia, his son Cesare and daughter Lucrezia. Thanks to the actions of them, the family name is associated with greed, power, lust and murder. The patriarch Rodrigo later known as Alexander VI, was the vice-chancellor, and became Pope in 1492, with the death of the Pope. He was so clever and manipulative, that is contemporary Nicholas Machiavelli, based his masterpiece "The Prince" in his personality. Lucrezia Borgia played an important role, managing key alliances with her marriages. Alexander Dumas father, wrote an amazing novel exploring the lives of these characters, their intrigues, and famous rumors, such as incest between Cesare and Lucrezia
