Hi, my name is Lexi and I am a creative writing student at Valparaiso High School. Our assignment was to create three short stories compiled into 10 pages. My stories all have the same running theme, suspense, fear, and a happy ending. My first piece, The Number That Listens, is a suspenseful piece about a teenager who had her life turned upside down due to just one text. This story is a ride of how she conquers and handles this, and the outcomes that follow. My next piece, The Twisted Family, is a story of the BAU handling a serial killer/kidnapping case. It takes you through their findings, catching the criminal, and a suspenseful twist that of course, leads to a happy ending. Finally my third piece, Out of Breath, is a very suspenseful and sad story. It takes you through a near death experience that leads to a sad outcome afterwards. The story continues through the journey of overcoming that and overall becoming stronger. All of my pieces have a common idea where trauma can be handled, it can be helped. I wanted to touch on the ideas of hurt with good outcomes afterwards. Hope you enjoy!
